Belonging, Believing; Together Succeeding!

Welcome to our website. We hope you find it informative and that it provides you with a flavour of the special nature of our school. This website aims to give visitors a taster of our school, as well as providing regular updated information for parents/carers, pupils and the wider school community.

Our school opened in 1838 and we are very proud of our very special building; one of only two thatched schools in the country! Our school has a strong sense of community and history and tradition are a large part of what makes our school special. Our school is small, friendly and buzzing with learning! We strive to ensure that all children feel happy, safe, secure and truly valued as individuals in our school family. We know our children inside out because of our positive nurturing environment and our strong working partnership with parents.

By going to the Events page, you can find out what is happening week by week throughout the School, and the  News of Recent Events section is where you will find news and reviews of what has been happening in school. The Inspiration Days tab will show you how we aim to enrich the curriculum through our whole school days and our Behaviour Rewards page will show you the end of term celebration activities we have for good behaviour.

The Friends of Barrington School (FOBS) play a very important role in the life of the School, as indeed do all of our parents, as partners in the education process. We also have very strong links with our local church and Rev. Felicity visits weekly to lead collective worship.

A website can only provide a snapshot of a school so I would encourage you to visit us to experience the special atmosphere and meet our dedicated team.  Please contact Mrs Lindley or Mrs Harrison in our office if you have further queries or would like to visit us.

Mrs Gill Davies
