25th September 2020
What a great week we have had! I will try and put some of the work we have been doing on this page so you can celebrate our successes too.
Superstar hard workers include:
Amazing descriptions of a new character for Mr Stink:
"Mrs Stink has grey, greasy hair and a black show with a big toe sticking out. She has a long, dark brown stained dress." Well done Poppy!
"Mrs Stink has grey, greasy hair and malevolently smelly feet and a hole in her red shoe and wears a tattered blue dress and a golden handbag with yellow flowers on." Great vocabulary Max!
Phoebe and Michael solved multiplication questions on their own after working with Mrs Burge. It's great to see them working independently with a smile.
George and Presley in particular have shown great resilience and made us feel proud explaining when they were stuck and how they got unstuck. Super work boys :)
This week's topic homework is on Google Classroom to be "turned in" by Wednesday 30th September. Remember to log on using @barrington.education
Your child should tell you that on fridays we are having times tables fun and challenges. Please help them learn their times tables inside out, back to front and in as many fun ways as you can find - there are loads of times tables songs to explore on the internet. If you child can't remember which times table they are learning, please email me. It could be 2, 3, 5 or 9.
Thank you for those of you who remembered to bring back the 2 home reading books today. We have changed them but please try to help your child (or you) write a couple of sentences about the text they have read. THERE WILL BE 5 DOJOS AWARDED FOR SUPER SENTENCES but books won't be changed if there is no comment as we presume the books haven't been read.
Books now won't be changed until next Friday.
Spellings we are looking at will come home on monday, and we will have a spelling challenge every friday (THIS IS NOT A SPELLING TEST)
Have a lovely weekend,
