Hinduism Visit

6th November 2019

We had a visit from Indriyesha and Krishna from the Hindu Education Trust. They spent a day in school and worked with all the children to help develop their understanding of the Hindu faith.

We learnt yoga relaxation and had the chance to dance with special dancing sticks. The children were taught all about Atman, reincarnation, Maksha and Karma. They heard lots of different stories from the Hindu faith and were told about many of their gods.

Everyone had the chance to wear flower garlands and dress in different costumes. We tried on saris and prayer shawls and some children were lucky enough to dress as Hindu gods.

At the end of the day we had a whole school assembly and Indriyesha told everyone the story of Diwali.
