World's Biggest Coffee Morning!
28th September 2018
On Friday 28th September we held our annual coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care. The coffee morning has become a traditional fixture in the school calendar and every year we hold a coffee morning with delicious homemade cakes in the school hall for the grown-ups, while the children have their own cake sale in the playground at break time. All the cakes are kindly donated by our children and their families.
To enable the children to be fully involved in this event, and raise a little more money for Macmillan, we also had a non-uniform day and the children were be able to make a donation of £1 to come to school in non-school uniform. We also held the It’s a Cake Off cake decorating competition; the children had the chance to enter four fairy cakes in this cake decorating competition The four best sets of cakes won Barrington Star Baker aprons – as you can see form the photographs below of some of the entries, it was not an easy competition to judge!
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our families from school and friends from the village who supported our coffee morning and helped up to raise a fantastic £360 for Macmillan.
