Barrington Fun Run

Barrington Fun Run

Over the final weekend in April, all of the children were encouraged to take part in a Village Fun Run as both a fun way to keep active and to help raise funds for school.

Children were challenged by FOBS, our school PTA, to run (or walk) as many laps of a designated 1km route around the village green as they could at any time over the weekend, and to raise sponsorship from friends and family for each lap that they managed to complete.

In order to be Covid-19 secure, the Challenge was created to be one that children could participate in with their own family members or support bubbles, at their own leisure. The weather over the weekend was excellent and plenty of the children joined in with the Challenge - with one very determined member of Orange Class completing a hugely impressive 16 laps. We even had a chicken take part, joining his owner in Violet Class in completing their laps. It was great to see the children active and racking up their 1k laps, and once the children have collected their sponsorship in, prizes are going to be awarded to the highest fundraisers in each class.

Well done to all of the children who took part and a big thank you to the families for getting involved.
