Be Bright, Be Seen

The children who are in our Ministry of Safety are also Junior Travel Ambassadors (JTAs) for the school. This means that they work closely with the county road safety officer to promote an awareness of road safety among all our children. Every year the children take part in the road safety Be Bright, Be Seen campaign to encourage all of the children to wear clothing that makes them visible to drivers as the winter approaches and the nights draw in.

The JTAs led an assembly to remind the children of the need to be visible and then launched their own competition to help the rest of the school remember to make themselves visible to other road users; come to school dressed as brightly as you can!

The photos below show some of the amazing outfits that the children wore to school. The JTAs were in charge of judging their competition and awarded a road safety goody bag from the road safety officer to the child in each class with the brightest outfit.
