This term we have been trying to teach outside as much as we can, as this helps to reduce the risk of the spread of any infection. As a part of this work, we held an Orienteering Day in school; each class had an orienteering workshop led by a visiting specialist, Mrs. Sterecki. The staff were able to see how orienteering can be used to support the children’s learning across many areas of the curriculum. While children from every class had great fun and learnt a lot about following a map, as they completed their outdoor challenges.
