Recycled Art Project

10th June 2019
British artist Robert Bradford recycles old plastic toys into colourful sculpture. He has made a series of animals which have eyes made out of torches, letters or reflectors. We were inspired by his work to make our own elephant sculpture.

Mr H D Peacock.

Made from an old umbrella stand, aluminium plate and 100's of flattened melted milk bottle lids - all done in a sandwich press by artist, Jacq Chorlton. We were inspired by her work to make our own peacock. We used recycled chicken wire from a thatched roof as the base for our bird. His body was covered in modroc which was then painted. His wings are made from empty m,ilk cartons decorated with Sharpie pens and his tail is made from melting colored bottle tops attached tot he chicken wire frame.
