School Clubs

We run a wide range of clubs in school.

After School Clubs

Multisports

Our school sports coach, Johnny Herd, runs a programme for all years after school. Mondays for KS2 and Thursdays for KS1 from 3.30 to 4.30.

Playing multisports, team games like dodgeball and individual competitor sports such as tennis and badminton give our children a wide range of sport experience. We encourage team work across the whole school and raising children's attainment.

All years can engage in multisports after school club and the young see how the older ones behave and learn new skills from their peers.

Netball KS2

Josie Cambridge takes our key stage 2 pupils for netball after school on a Tuesday 3.30 - 4.30pm. The team is strong and have won awards for their skill and teamwork.

We welcome players of all abilities and the club works together to make sure every player gets the most out of playing netball. So whether your child is looking to improve their fitness, play competitively or just meet new people and have fun, Barrington School netball club would be glad to welcome you!

Football

Our school sports coach, Johnny Herd, runs a programme for all years after school. Fridays 3.30 – 4.30pm for KS1 and 4.30 to 5.30 for KS2.

The children enjoy it very much and get awards for achievement over the course of the term. It gives them skills in team work, tactics and raises their confidence.

We encourage exercise and healthy living at Barrington school and this gives the children the opportunity to enjoy exercise.

Gym Club -
This club is currently suspended due to COVID.

Audrey Baker runs two classes on a Monday after school. The first starts at 3.30-4.30pm for Key Stage One children and the second is 4.30-5.30pm for Key Stage Two.

Gymnastics provides an excellent foundation for many sports by helping children to develop agility, balance and coordination. The classes are very popular, all the children enjoy the session and benefit hugely in the physical activity.

We hope we will have some future Olympic gymnastic champions.

Patchwork Club
This club is currently suspended due to COVID.

We are extremely fortunate to have a volunteer from the village, Mrs Gibson, who gives up several lunchtimes each week to run the patchwork club for Year 5 and 6 pupils. The work with Mrs Gibson in small groups to create the wonderful masterpieces you can see in the slideshow below.

Thank you to Mr Gibson for these fantastic photographs.
