Educational Visits

Educational Visits

School visits are an integral part of the education of children at Barrington Primary School. We value the opportunities such visits offer our pupils and the commitment of staff and adults undertaking them.

Throughout school children will be invited to take part in school trips. These may include class visits linked to their topic, extracurricular outings such as activities with the school sports teams or residential trips in KS2.  Our residential visits include Grafham Water and Burwell House Activity Centres

Recent past class trips have included visits to The Sea life Centre, Farm visits, Ely Cathedral, Duxford Imperial War Museum, St. Paul's Cathedral, Wandlebury Country Park, The Fitzwilliam Museum, The Sedgewick Museum and The Astronomical Observatory, Cambridge.

It is school policy that we ask all parents and carers for a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trip. However, as a school we do work hard to keep the costs of school trips to a minimum and subsidise trips, wherever possible through contributions from the PTA. Unfortunately due to the tightness of the school budget if we are unable to raise the funds to pay for a school trip from parental contributions and donations from the PTA the trip would have to be cancelled.
